Tourism Telemetry project
The Sea is All Around Us (2015), Mission to Seafarers Victoria, Melbourne, Australia.
The Sea is All Around Us explores the 'mobile life' of souvenirs by engaging with the network of seafarers who visit Melbourne Ports and the Mission to Seafarers Victoria (MTSV). Seafarers will receive a souvenir as a welcoming gift and memento of their visit to Melbourne and invited to stay connected during their ongoing journeys using mobile scanning and website mapping technologies. The project bears witness to and raises awareness of the often difficult and dangerous working lives of seafarers.
